⚡️ Personal Care Industry News Flash 🗞️

AI in Beauty:

Revieve has unveiled its latest AI innovation: Skin Age Diagnostics, designed to enhance skincare personalization by accurately assessing a user’s skin age. The technology enables brands and retailers to deliver more tailored product recommendations and routines. RoC Skincare is the first to integrate the tool, which aims to make skincare insights more accessible and actionable for consumers. The launch marks another step toward intelligent, data-driven beauty experiences.

Scientific Breakthrough:

Haut.AI has taken home the 2025 BeautyMatter Award for best Breakthrough Technology (Omnichannel). The company, known for using generative AI to power hyper-personalized beauty retail experiences, was recognized for its innovative approach to transforming omnichannel consumer engagement. The award highlights Haut.AI’s growing influence as a tech leader in the global beauty industry.

Regulations & Compliance:

India has officially updated its regulatory framework for cosmetics with the Cosmetics (Amendment) Rules, 2025, aiming to improve safety, curb counterfeit products, and better define what constitutes a spurious cosmetic. Finalized after consultations with stakeholders and the Drugs Technical Advisory Board, the new rules include stricter testing and labeling protocols, and the establishment of a dedicated Central Cosmetics Laboratory to screen products before they hit shelves.

Companies that fail to comply risk license suspension or cancellation, underscoring the country’s intent to strengthen consumer protection and transparency in the booming beauty market.

Known for her luminous skin and wellness routines, Stewart spent five years developing the line, merging clinical science with her personal beauty philosophy. Elm Biosciences aims to support “living well and aging well”, with products designed for radiance at every age.

Sustainability Update:

What started as a student project in rural Maharashtara has blossomed into Organiko, a sustainable skincare brand that now supports over 150 donkey-owning families.
