⚡️ Personal Care Industry News Flash 🗞️

Ingredient Launch:

Over time, skin loses its vibrancy, fine lines deepen, and resilience fades. Epitensive™ EVO by LipoTrue is a biomimetic protein booster that restores the skin’s vitality. It reignites cell metabolism in both the epidermis and dermis, boosts hyaluronic acid, collagen and elastin for firmness and elasticity, and ensures long-term rejuvenation. Bring back the skin’s natural glow, strength and bounce with Epitensive™ EVO—check it out on Covalo now!

Scientific Breakthrough:

As the demand for solids and water-free formulations grows, new research published in Cosmetics suggests that sucrose esters (SEs) could play a key role in stabilizing oleofoams. While these biodegradable surfactants are widely used in water-based cosmetics, their potential in anhydrous formulations has remained largely unexplored—until now. The study found that sucrose esters with lower HLB values (3-9) effectively stabilized oleofoams, offering a sustainable and sensorially appealing alternative for foam-based cosmetics. Researchers believe these findings pave the way for further innovation in water-free beauty.

Regulations & Compliance:

The Swiss Society of Cosmetic Chemists (SWISS SCC) has released new guidelines for energy-efficient cosmetic development and production. This initiative is the result of a two-year collaboration between Energy Lab, SWISS SCC, Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU), the ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences, EnergieSchweiz, and leading Swiss companies La Prairie Switzerland, Frike Group, Steinfels Swiss and Kinematica Global. With these guidelines, SWISS SCC aims to inspire its members to adopt measures that reduce CO2 emissions. To support this effort, the association—along with EnergieSchweiz—provided both financial and conceptual backing from 2021 to 2023.
